Just Deserts

Design a cookbook cover and multiple recipe spreads.
OBJECTIVE
Just Deserts is a cook book based on my grandmother’s sweet tooth and her love for baking. The recipe for Isabel’s Cookie is named after her. Because Isabel was originally from New Mexico I incorporate some design elements from the New Mexico state flag. I wanted the layouts to be traditional yet dynamic. I chose a typeface with many glyph W for the title and headlines to allow for many cohesive headline treatments.
